Vday Getaway Part I

I've fallen ill.. My right tonsils and the back of my throat are swollen, according to doc, and as I'm waiting for the drowsiness to set in (so that I can head to bed), I shall blog about how my Vday went!

Okay so, baby booked a trip for the two of us and it was supposed to be a secret/surprise thing. Until one fine day, while we were driving home from Parkway, he suddenly blurted out:
"Esther, you know the resort we're going to in XXX"

HAHA I totally laughed for a good 5 mins in the car. You guys should've seen his expression!
I won't be mentioning where we went because he wants me to keep it a secret and let you all make a guess! Ohwell ~

I'll prolly tell u guys in my next post or sth teeheee.

So, when we first arrived, we approached the resort's staff who were stationed at the arrival hall. & they brought us to this place for us to rest our feet and wait for them while they arrange a car to pick us up.

Did you see those posters?! They're places for destination dining at the resort! I was full of envy and hope when I first saw the posters haha! More about that later.

& after a 20 mins car ride, we arrived at the place!

They served us some lime ginger drink which was really refreshing!

And look, we don't have to queue or wait at the reception to check in. They come to us with this booklet thing, knelt in front of us and checked in for us there & then! Such good service!

And because we arrived at around 10AM or so, and rooms will strictly be available only from 3PM, we had loads of time on hand and we went to explore the place!

One of the pools in the resort!

They provide everything by the poolside. From sunblock, tanning lotion, to books, magazines, water and towels. You need it, they have it! Waste my money on getting this sunblock spray thing at where we departed. $24 lor!

They even prepared tools for building sandcastles! So sweet of them!

I love this place!

Really wanted to walk on this bridge thing but there's a warning sign that stopped us.. SIGH!

Another one of the destination dining area!

Love the beach!
We went to check out the rates for different activities at their Marine Center, a place where you can get to play a lot of water sports and what not! They have body boarding, banana boat, jet ski, ATV, and a lot of other stuff!

Another pool! We decided to stay here since it's more shady teehee.

When I first say digestive recommendation I thought they'll put like yoghurt or something. But I was SO WRONG?!

Lunch by the poolside! YUMMY! But super expensive..

& yes that's me sleeping on the tanning bed, it was so shiok! I only had like 4 hours of sleep previously 'cos I had to pack and all for the trip.

All refreshed and charged when we were told we can go to our room! Finally!

Room 100!

The view we wake up to everyday.

LOVELY!

Our bed. I love these kinda four poster bed!!!

Jacuzzi that's so big it can fit like 4 people?!

\

Getting ready for din din!
We were brought to this place for seafood. Apparently, crabs are super cheap there luh. The small portion is like $18, and the one we ordered were like $22 or $24?! Veges are super expensive like $9 for a small portion? KNS I want veggie lor!

Chilli and butter crabs!

We ended our day watching UP. rented the DVD from the resort's LIBRARY. Yes they have a library in the resort. Kua Zhang max!

Oh &, do you like the purple ruffled side top that I wore? I LOVE IT to the max! And am considering manufacturing it in a more flattering cut and other colors! I love the back of the top most lor!

Here's a picture of the back!

Not too dressy or casual. Good for beaches or even for dinners when you pair with a highwaisted skirt!

Okay I'm feeling to feel a bit drowsy already. Stay tuned for Day 2 and 3!

Post Vday

How's V-day for you people? I hope you had a good one 'cos mine was!
Will blog about it again because I have some super overdue photos to post!

31st Jan
This was our.. 15th month together. We make it a point to meet up for dinner, spend time together etc on our monthsary 'cos it's like.. once every 2 months? Haha smart move on bb's side because he gets to save more $$!

I'm keeding.

Sun with moon again!
NEVER go there in the late afternoon because apparently it's their tea time or something and there wasn;t the full menu to choose from. But we had to make do with it 'cos I was feeling extremely moody thanks to my haircut which took almost 2 hours instead of 1.

Chocs from royce! YUMMERS!

1st Feb
Decided to bring baby to this pancake place near his school, and it was so good!

Really cozy place

Garlic butter and maple syrup!

SUPER DUPER GOOD. Some caramelized banana thing that I can't remember but it's good!

This was the bomb! It may look weird and all, but trust me, it's really nice! The prawns are super fresh and crunchy.

Silly boy..

We couldn't finish the two dishes because they're so filling! So if you're going in a group of 3, two dishes would be enough! You can check out their website, it's pretty interesting and all. And some other dishes caught our eye too! Will definitely return to try some more!

Oh and they have weekend breakfast that are quite affordable too!

CNY
My Chinese New Year has been quite un-haps because we usually spend it overseas but not this year. Super little photos because I'm lazy and partly because I'm always at the mahjong table. Play mahjong how to take photos right! Haha

CNY DAY ONE with Pat boy! He looks so cute in his new polo tee!

Another dog at my grandma's house that belongs to my aunt. He's so cute lah! Keep biting onto this red packet and showing it to everyone who comes into the house.

And then he has this collar thing for people to put red packets into. HAHA hilarious max. Once my fourth aunt came, headed into the room, and he followed her! And he just sat there, didn;t want to leave till my aunt put a red packet into the collar then did he budge!

There his red packets. So cute!

Heard that his red packets' money amounted to about $40? Enough for his next grooming session haha!

And my cousin's poodle X cocker spaniel. Such an adorable girl. :>

Will blog about my vday getaway next! Stay tuned! :)
