Queen's day!

While I was back in SG, I brought my dear Queen out for a day! She's not staying with me so she was really happy to see me and couldn't control herself. & yes, her name is Queenie and she really acts like a queen sometimes!! BTH. Some visuals below to prove to you what I meant.

There she is! Sticking her head out and enjoying the breeze. Don't you think she looks like she's staring in some MTV with her eyes closed and smiling at the same time? HAHA!

Brought her to ECP since that's like the only place that I could think of that's dog friendly. SIGH..

& she just plopped onto the floor cos she cannot take the heat. Both my sister and I were like, what are you doing!!

And this is her when she got back into the car.

Smart right, position herself right in front of the air con. ~.~

Found this dog cafe off Balestier road or something and I brought her there! Thank goodness there wasn't any other patrons around or she'd have gone crazy!

Ordered food for her too!

Yes they have food for both dogs and human, and the food there was reasonably priced and tasted not bad-ish too!

HAHA look at her! She always refuse to take a good photo with anyone else but me.

And.. just look at her eyelashes please, so long and pwetty..

I miss my princess!! Can't wait to be back in 7.5 weeks' time to spend more time with her now that I'll be back for good! :D

Justina's Birthday!

So I had my September 2-week break a while back, and was contemplating before that whether or not to head back to Singapore. Thing was, it's my last semester and I could do a little touring around Melbourne while I still can, but I was so damned homesick. This break wasn't really right smacked in the middle of our semester; in fact it took place after week 8, which meant that I was away from home for at least 2 months.

I'm someone who gets homesick damned quickly..

Then my sister texted me to ask me for my opinions regarding her 21st birthday and after looking at my schedules and all, I realized that I could go back for a good 3.5 weeks or so, AND make it for her birthday party! So I texted my parents to ask if I could come back to SG, and they gave me the nod. YIPPEEEEE.

BUT, it was kept as a secret. HAHA, only my family members (except my little sister) and some of my really close friends know that I'm coming back.

For the first few days, I couldn't even tweet about the good food that I'm having, or upload them onto instagram. Just because my girls and I planned to surprise Justina during her birthday. It's the second time I'm doing this, and last year when I sprung out of nowhere, she teared a little!

Met up with Keli in town to do a little shopping for her birthday present! & we had DTF! Did you know that the DTF in Wisma moved up to the food court area? They didn't remove them entirely from the tenants' list, but I thought they ought to put up a notice somewhere.. I guess a lot of people head to wisma just for DTF too yea? Cos I'm one of them.. HAHA.

Hello preetz. :)

& so we proceeded with our plan to surprise Justina, and we succeeded! HAHA she bursts out in tears la, omg she was THAT touched. We got a random guy to pass her my iPad to get her to watch the video that we've prepared for her. & at the end of the video was this message:

"Due to technical errors, this video couldn't be completed, but Esther has something to say to you personally..."

& I jumped right out from behind Keli, HAHA! It was such a heartwarming scene to see her so touched! Remember I love you okay Justina! <3 p="p">

Here's a video that Cheryl put up on FB for the surprise, I super love the subtitles!

We got her 2 outfits for her birthday present and forced her to change into one of them! :)

& she was walking around with that sash that even the bouncers thought it's her hen's night, HAHAHA!

& we saw the guy who passed her the iPad inside Phuture, so I got them to take a photo!

The next day, we headed out for a picnic. Just look at the choice of food, epic!

Singaporean style picnic. Have got a few more pictures taken by Keli that I forgot to grab from FB, so there, abrupt ending again.

Happy birthday again Jusjus, I love you so much!! <3 nbsp="nbsp" p="p">

Change is the only constant.

If there's one thing I learnt from studying overseas, it's how change is the only constant and change is taking place at a speed so fast I couldn't even catch up with it. I'd always be lagging behind, still thinking over why things change, people change, and very often I'll be so overwhelmed and bewildered I have to stay at home a couple of days or even a week to sort out and pack up my feelings.

I'd always receive special treatments when I get back: friends putting aside their school work, accommodating to my schedule, trying to book me for a meal or two just to catch up with me. Sometimes I get small gifts to show how much I'm missed, even changes in profile pic to one that includes me will tug at my heartstrings a little. But very often than not, when I get back, things change.

While most of my friends always still continue to text me and show me their concern and love whenever they sense something wrong, there'll always be one or two people who'd change their whole attitude towards me. Is it because that I'm no longer in Singapore that there's no longer a need or obligation to continue how they've treated me in Singapore, or is it because I appear to them as a dispensable friend that when they need my companion, they just have to ring me up. But when I'm back in Melb, I can no longer serve that purpose and there's no reason to keep in contact with me.

Sad thing is, people come and go, and they come and go even faster when I'm overseas, miles away. Long distance, I thought, would have worked for friendship like how it enhanced my relationship with my family. Apparently not. While I grew closer to some friends, made new ones here and they became my family whom I could depend on, there are always a bunch of people who'd show their true colors. I don't know if it's a good thing or not, that I know sooner rather than later what their true intentions are. But I guess I'd rather live in denial and be oblivious to what's really going on. Because the truth hurts, and while I thought these people matter and hold them close to my heart, they're the ones who will hurt me the most. You know how people you treasure the most will have the most impact on your life no matter how small the issue is, or how harsh words could appear as a dagger that makes it hurt so badly as compared to an acquaintance who say the same few words.

The worst thing that could happen, is for a bad situation to happen twice. & having me allowing it to happen. I don't know how to deal with a second injury right at the same spot caused by the same person, but I guess I'll get through it sooner or later.

As for now, I have no idea who to trust, or how to judge people. Because the human heart and mind is so unpredictable, that I am so jaded from trying to figure out everyone's thoughts. Sadly this world doesn't operate as simple as I want it to, and if only someone would just tell me their true inner thoughts and put a stop to all these guessing.

Qiu's Birthday

Was looking at my blog's entries and realized that I didn't publish this entry that I blogged sometime back.. & to think this took place in Sept, but we're already halfway through October. Can time pass by any faster?!

So it's been some time since we've partied in Melb and since my dear Qiu's birthday's just round the corner and we've completed all assignments at hand, we've decided to go all out and have fun on a random Friday night! Just so happened that my best friend's house mate was here for a short holiday and we got him along to party with us too!

Heh here's my crazy girl

Got my dearest marketing buddy down from her place to join us since she stays in the same apartment as Qiu! I can't imagine how uni life would be without this darling of mine, it's like we can complete one assignment in just a matter of few days' time!

& she roped me in to do that signature pose of hers together with her..

Posing with my passport cover which she always deem as being very bimbotic. EH?! nice what?!
& if you're wondering why I brought my passport along, we've gotta present our passport in clubs here in Melb, for international students that is. So remember your passports if you happen to wanna club in Melb!

& in the club! I love partying so much better in Melbourne b/c of the crowd here. The guys here are also polite in the sense that they will ask you if they could dance with you instead of creeping up behind you and start to grind you out of a sudden. ~.~

With Roy & Adrain!

I'm always sitting down at the edge of the podium because it gets really tiring.. How can anyone manage to dance the whole night ah?! Won't deny that age is really catching up with me..

& I sorta like this silly picture of us here, haha!

On to her actual birthday, I baked a little RVV cake with Orange cream cheese filling & CC frosting. YUMS! I'm glad she loved it tho!!

Birthday girl just waking up from her nap, so cute one. Her surprised expression was totally unforgettable given that she has this "Huh I just woke up" look.

& we have this tradition of having the person whose birthday is upcoming to continue with the cake slicing.

Happy birthday dear, I hope you love the small surprises, the cake, dinner and your gift!
I LOVE YOU!
