Rainbow Cupcakes Recipe

Since some of you asked for the recipe for the cupcakes & frosting, here you go!

Ingredients: (makes about.. 12 I guess?)
1/2 cup (125g) caster sugar
125g unsalted butter
2 eggs
1 cup (125g) self-raising flour
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
3 tablespoons milk
4 bottles food colouring, red, blue, yellow, green

Steps:
1.Preheat oven to 200 degrees C. Line cupcake tray with patty cups.

2.Cream the sugar and butter until pale and fluffy. Better to use an electric beater, and remember, DO NOT MELT the butter. Just leave it at room temperature and it will soften itself.

3.Beat the eggs in one at a time adding a little flour in each time until the ingredients are mixed.

4.Add the vanilla essence and mix. Then add the milk 1 tablespoon at a time mixing after each addition. If you want your cupcakes to be of other flavours, simply buy the flavoring and drop in a little of them into the mix. I tend to use Orange or Lychee as well!

5.Divide the mixture into 6 bowls:
In Bowl 1 - Add half a cap of red colouring
In Bowl 2 - Add half a cap of red and half a cap of yellow
In Bowl 3 - Add half a cap of yellow
In Bowl 4 - Add half a cap of green
In Bowl 5 - Add half a cap of blue
In Bowl 6 - Add half a cap of blue and half a cap of red
Mix colouring into each mixture after adding.

6.Divide the purple mixture between the 12 cases.

Repeat with the other mixtures in this order: Blue, Green, Yellow, Orange, Red.

7.Bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes.

For Frosting:Makes about one cup.

Ingredients:
75g UNSALTED butter, softened NOT MELTED
1/4 tsp (1.25ml) vanilla extract (same as the above, if you want it to be flavoured, just use other flavorings instead of vanilla)
145g (1 cup) icing sugar, sifted
1 tablespoon (20g) cream (35-40 percent fat)

Using an electric mixer or electric hand-held beaters, beat butter and vanilla in a medium bowl until creamy.

Add the icing sugar in three batches, beating for about one minute after each addition, and stopping the machine a couple of times to scrape down the side and base of the bowl.

Add the cream and beat until completely incorporated.
Then pipe!

DO NOT DO NOT leave the cupcakes in the fridge. Otherwise the buttercream frosting will harden and the cupcake will be very very awful. Leave the cupcakes to chill until at room temperature before piping. Then decorate it however you want it!

Every time I tell my friends that I can cook a decent meal, none of them seem to believe me. I am a real foodie, and I love trying out new places. But I really really love cooking too! Nothing beats the feeling of presenting a complete meal to your friends and family or even just yourself, with everyone chomping down the food and exclaiming that it's really nice.

So here's a few pictures of what I've whipped up in Jan! Haven't been cooking much 'cos my exams are just round the corner. :(

Lotus Root Soup!

I LOVE SOUPS! But my mum has stopped cooking ever since I went to poly because most of us will head home late and all, so she decided not to cook altogether.

Pork with ginger in brown sauce.

My childhood fav! I love eating this with plain rice and topping it off with a sunny side up!

Carrot or ABC soup

Boiled veggies, and then lightly pan fried with LOADS of garlic.

Cabbage with vermicelli, another childhood fav heehee!

BARLEY, a must-have for me 'cos I fall sick every month. :(

STEAKS. First time making it and it's not too bad, gotta try improvising on it!

Chicken & Mushroom baked rice. Although it looks really hard, it's actually quite simple to make.

CHICKEN CHOP. haha this is like my specialty and I usually marinate it for >4 hours?

OYAKU DON. yums, all my friends seem to love this a lot.

& I got down to baking recently!! This is some orange chiffon cake but I decided to put them into heart shaped moulds, so cute right!

& my proud creation, rainbow cupcakes!!

They're not so sweet and I LOVE THE FROSTING! Omg it's like the perfect frosting I've ever eaten, no joke!

I could perhaps make some of these and give them out to customers when we have a mass meet-up the next time yea? IDEA! heeheee.

Here's a small little update on what I've been up to since I'm back in Melbourne. Been eating a lot, trying out new brunch places, cooked a lot, and I even baked! Teehee, will put up more pictures of food that I've made the next time round!

Brunch at Seven Seeds before heading to the library, the coffee there is the sekz!

After coming to Melbourne to study, I'm totally into their coffee culture. It's like, I no longer visit Starbucks because well, they just taste weird to me. The coffee here are the best seriously, and I've been trying out different places just for their coffees, so if you're coming to Melbourne for a short trip and want to try some awesome coffee, ask me!

BEST FRENCH TOAST I'VE EVER HAD, SERIOUSLY! This beats all the other brunch places I've visited in SG.

Look at the banana woohoo. You can even eat it with the skin, that's how awesome it is!

& Qiu's mighty burger thats super awesome as well!

& then I brought the girls to Crystal Jade for some dimsum. Sounds dodgy, but it's one of the better ones around here alrdy. & I super love their LIU SHA BAO. :D

On a random day when I decided to bake 'cos I was feeling so stressed up, thanks to Finance.

Cornflake cookies with raisins! It was nearing the CNY period and I had cravings for them.

Taking longer than a week to post up this upcoming collection because I've been real busy. Trying to sort out my future career path, what I really want to do and all the jazz. & planning the timetable and study plan is really such a pain at times. Am thankful though, that we don't have to go through all the bidding hoo-ha that my friends in local universities all complain about. For our school, we have the freedom to choose any subjects that we want to take, except for the cores, which makes up year 1, and prolly 2 or 3 subjects for year 2 (like for example, you need to take Principles of Marketing as a pre-requisite for all the other higher-level marketing subjects, or to take Organizational Behaviour because it's a core for all commerce students). Then we'll be free to choose any higher-level subjects for our major that are of interest to us. Take for example, if I'm more into HR or customer service relationship management, I could take those marketing subjects that are related to that field. Our system is more flexible, I guess?

Anyhows, let's forget about the school work. I will blog about the collection that's coming up on Saturday, tomorrow. Really pretty pictures with Zoe dear, hope the preview collages will turn out fine. :)

So here's a really random post about random facts about me. Let's see how many I can list okay?

#1. I hate durians, really really dislike the smell. But my whole family loves them, including my dogs.

#2. Whenever I go drinking and get really wasted, I will still remember what happened the whole night. & I will, 95% of the time, not get a hangover the next day if I just had hard liquor. Mix my drinks with mixers and I'll really get a nasty nasty hangover.

#3. I am very anal about alignment for my reports. If I need to edit someone's work and they are not justified (for alignment), I will make sure they are before I start to edit it. It's quite a pain in the eye if it's not justified, for me!

#4. I love love being alone. I cannot be with people all the time. I could spend a few days alone, in my room, or head out alone. I don't think it's embarrassing or anything to be walking the streets alonw, or even eating alone.

#5. Although I eat a lot, there's lots of things that I haven't tried or eaten before. Things like eggplant, cucumbers, yong tau foo, mapo toufu, mexican food, to name a few.

#6. I love to snack, big time. Especially on sweets or anything salty, I love them all! I could finish a stick of mentos in 10 mins.

#7. I love shopping and buying things, not just clothes. I buy everything that I like and it's quite scary at times. Top of my love-to-buy list now includes candles, pots & pans, baking needs, umbrellas, nail polishes, photo frames etc. Now you know how random I can get? :>

#8. I surprisingly love Finance. I was so scared and intimidated by it at first, and I don't even know why I'm majoring in it. But seems like I'm loving it a lot like how I love marketing since year 1 of my poly days.

#9. I've had a nape piercing, & am going to get it back this Spring. :)

#10. I prefer eating my veggies boiled than fried with sauces or oil.

Okay that's about it I guess. No idea how this Zoe can come up with 55 things about herself. 10 is a lot for me alrdy!

Another update because we'll be launching a new collection tonight, albeit it being a super mini one with 2 manufactured designs! More on that later, here's a super backdated update of my last week in SG!

Met up with WH & Joy for dimsum and I've been wanting to try Royal China at Raffles Hotel, so we made a booking days before (& they were really packed! Only managed to get a slot at 1PM)!

I guess we over ordered again, ahha! I mean, look at the amount of food for three! & both Joy & I were quite small eaters, so we kept shoving all the food to WH! :P

Custard bun, which IMO isn't that good. Still searching for awesome ones in SG, any recommendations?

Bill came up to about $26 per pax? I guess it's quite worth it considering it's in a 5-star hotel and we ordered quite a bit. The rest of the dimsum are pretty good too! So if you're looking for somewhere nice to bring your partners for a dim sum treat, you could always try Royal China!

& then we went off searching for a place to exchange gifts! (Yes I know I'm still blogging about my Christmas week :x)

WH & Joy! He's the man behind SIX&TWELVE's outdoor shoots! Heehee, gotta thank him for always running up and down with me, and to search for good places to shoot! :)

Joy & I, one of my bestf too! :)

& an impromptu trip to wine bar at night to open 2 bottles. For 6 people? It was crazy. & we didn't even manage to get chops for Phuture/Zouk cos it was full-house at like 1030PM? But at the same time, we were pretty sick of all the shoving and pushing in the club, so we decided to stay outside and chill~

which was really fun as well!

My all time fav. vodka. I don't even like vodka to begin with! But this was really nice. I think we got the apple one this time round? Or did we stick to Kiwi? I can't really remember, but it still taste awesome! Even my guy friends like them!

Best best friend and brother I have, always keeping a lookout for me and I know I'll always have his back. :)

Gotta do a blogpost about us in future hahaha!

& then on NYE, we headed over to MBS for a small gathering! Mel & I initially said no alcohol cos we were so sick of it, but when we saw the balcony, our eyes lit up and we were like, this is a good place for drinking!!!

We didn't want to drink at first 'cos over at Hard Rock during Xmas, the boys poured alcohol and wine all over the carpet and bed, and there was puke in BOTH toilets, which made it a really unpleasant day. But all in the name of fun! :)

So we got the guys to bring alcohol eventually. HAHA!

I asked JS & Colin over, Dan was supposed to come but he was stuck outside I think, cos of the super bad traffic over at the Marina area. & he couldn't get a cab. Bummer!

I love having all my friends around to gather together! & that goes the same for Mel, which explains why we're always mixing out friends and getting them to hang out together. & it wasn't even awkward! :)

We found this die in the drawer and made use of it. It's like the fastest drinking game, all you have to do it to toss the die, and u drink accordingly. Guess what Colin's was?

Everyone burst out laughing when they saw it!

It was nearing 12AM and we all grabbed something because we need to "tah" (bottoms up, drink everything) whatever we're holding. & look at what Shermaine got! HAHA, epic fail!

& we caught fireworks at the lift lobby area!

Overall a fun night despite the little hiccups. Glad so many people turned up, an awesome start to the new year. :)

OH & I met up with my darling girl on the 30th!! Just before new year's eve and before I fly off on the 2nd!

Met up at Bugis and I suggested Ma Maison so off we went! Luckily there wasn't a queue b/c we were quite early for lunch. There usually will be a super long queue that extends all the way out to the entrance of the restaurant so if you wanna have a meal here, come early! I don't know if they take reservations, but you can always try calling. They have branches at Central and Millenia Walk if I'm not wrong :)

What I love.

I love being with people. Happy, giggly people. That's when I think of nothing worrying or sad, & just enjoy myself at that moment.

I love pink, and kisses. & hugs. I think they're very important. They bring people closer, & I love affection.

I just want to be happy. Being happy can be very easy. Drinking bubble tea makes me happy. Walking to school alone makes me happy. Skyping with my friends in Singapore makes me happy. Whatsapping my mom and smiling to the phone makes me happy.

I love to laugh. I love hearing people laugh. The kinda "HA HA HA" laugh. The kinda laugh that makes you bend over and makes your stomach hurts. It's important, it keeps us happy.

I always need to be alone. I am perfectly fine with eating alone, going shopping alone, buying groceries alone, being in Starbucks alone. I love spending time with myself. But I never feel lonely. We don't need people around us all the time, to make us feel less empty.

I love buying things. I buy all sorts of things, happy things. I buy pots & pans, I buy aromatic candles, I buy clothes all the time, & shoes too. I buy baking needs, I buy cute cups and tumblers, I buy lots of body lotions and sunscreen. I love buying things for my loved ones. I love the priceless expression they get when it's something they want or like. I'd love to be Santa Claus one Xmas.

I love gatherings, love seeing old faces. That's when all the familiarity comes in. People may change, but the way they communicate with you, stays the same. Y'know how that feels? Looking at someone who don't look the same 12 years ago, but they sound exactly like what you 've known them to.

I love looking up at the sky, and just staring at it. I'd love to get closer to it, that's when I feel closer to you. I'd love to know how Heaven feels like, how it's like to view the world from up there. Most importantly, I'd love to look down smiling from seeing a happy world.

I love boys. The kind who could do cute things to protect you or make you feel safe. The kind who would smile while talking and then look you in the eyes. The kind who puts in effort in getting you a gift he knows you'll like, even when it would embarrass them a little bit. I loved a boy.

I think, that nothing's more important than being healthy, safe and happy. Nothing should or could override these priorities. These are what I live by, & it's my responsibility to be healthy, safe, and happy.

Glitz & Glamour

You know how some friends always enter & leave your life, and you wonder if there's anything wrong with you that makes them leave so easily? & then there'll be a handful of people who will always be with you, stand on your side, listen to you for a long crazy period of time that makes you feel like "hey I'm a good person after-all" and you know how they'll definitely be your bridesmaid or help you out when it's time for you to get married?

Mel is definitely one of these people in my life. She's been my best friend since forever and we've grown closer this summer holidays and I really thank God for her. She's like the sibling I've never had, and always there for me. I can tell her everything, knowing that she won't judge. I can feel that she's truly happy for me and some words that she say will always be etched in my heart.

She's the only friend who will call me at random times of the day and ask me out at the very last minute, knowing that I'll be game for whatever she wants to do. She never fails to call or text every Wed & Fri and it's funny how we can do stupid things twice every week without feeling bored. Maybe it's because we're the only two who are super duper free for the holidays, without any work or r/s commitments.

I knew her through our CCA in JC days and believe it or not, we were from soccer, HAHA! It's funny how we grew closer and always bending over from laughter whenever we're out. But hey we can talk serious too. & I'm so so glad I found a soulmate in her. She can relate to everything I say & feel, and we go through almost the same things in life & in r/s it surprises me somehow.

She's my crazy shopping partner, my partner in crime haha! We always shop like mad when we're together, trust me you won't believe it. We'll always end the day with:

Mel: ESTHER! See la you always make me buy so much! Never going shopping with you!

Me: MEL! Stop asking me to buy buy buy, you need to say NO to me at times!

This summer holidays, tons of bad and happy stuff happened all at one go, & I'm just so glad that Mel often tell me things that are from the bottom of my heart. It's like she's reminding me what I truly felt and think, giving me some reassurance that I'm not alone.

One conversation that left a deep impact on me goes like this:

"I've been smiling so much to myself it's getting disgusting! HHAA how do I stop this!!"

" I won't tell you how to even if I know, because I want you to stay happy like this."

Such a sweetheart. <3

& of course, there're my other girls whom I know I can always count on. You know how sometimes in a small clique, you'll be closer to one but when together, you'll always feel the love & warmth? :)

We're all from soccer and it's random how we even formed a "clique". We call ourselves the Beanies cos we always head over to Coffee Bean to study during the June holidays, HAHA! What a silly name, but we've been using it for 6 years & counting.

We're all so different in our own ways, but it's awesome how we could stick together despite it all. I'm glad God brought you girls back to me, and I just wanna say that I treasure this friendship so so much I won't ever think of giving it up for anything else in the world.

At the end of the day, I'll count my blessings and whisper my thanks to someone up there for bringing these angels to me. :)

I just went through my 2nd 3 hour long Finance tutorial today and surprisingly, time passed really fast today and I was jotting down everything my tutor said throughout the whole 3 hours. To me, it's not us who find it tiring, it should have been him - someone who's been talking about something that may seem really fundamental to him, to a class of 20 plus students who rarely answered his questions save for a few people, with the rest looking lost or just stoning. & he could have probably repeated what he was saying for the xth time. But look, he didn't complain or anything; but rather smiled as us while we left the room, and ocassionally asking if we really understood what he said.

Sets me thinking. Sometimes we need to just complain less and appreciate the things that people do for us selflessly. Best example? Our parents. We might always complain about how naggy they are, always fussing over us, making a big fuss out of something small, always wanting us to tidy up our rooms, get good grades, dress properly etc. But it all just boils down to one thing: they love us, and they want everything that's good, or even best, for us. It's just that the way they express their love is different. Some of them may be too shy to say "I love you, & I just want the best for you", so they express it through their actions and words indirectly. Which we find it to be bothersome. Isn't that quite sad somehow?

My mom is the most awesomest mom I can have. This, all my friends will agree to. But they don't know that in the past, she was so strict to me I could have left home if I had the courage to. I got reprimanded for if I don't get a Band 1 for every subject in Primary school. If she sees a mark below 80 (a.k.a getting 70+ for my tests/exams), I won't be able to watch television, use the computer or even dare to speak at home. I have to go for tuition classes everyday for at least 2 hours after school on weekdays, and during weekends, I go for drawing and piano classes. Or some English workshops that her friends recommended her. If I spend a little bit more money and she finds out about it, I'll definitely get it from her. I still remember how she would hit me with a remote control, and send it flying and hitting my small head.

But now, she came to realize that her teaching style is wrong. And she started to treat us as her friends. She would always whatsapp me when she's bored and address me as her darling, haha! & now, she found out about the audio note function on whatsapp and has been using it a tad too frequently. She's also so hooked onto Facebook that she's even more active on it than I am! & she loves editing her photos using iPhone apps, some examples like this:

She's so cute lor! & my dad too. He'd always tear when sending me off at the airport and I'd have to hug him & say "You cannot cry ah!" ahha! I love both my parents and I guess going to study abroad strengthens my relationship with them.

So it hurts and pains me sometimes to see teenagers and even young adults my age speaking to their parents like they owed them tons of money. There's no respect at all, and some even demand their parents to do or buy stuff for them? Hey, they've been raising you up with no complaints and regrets for the past decades, and this is how you treat them? They didn't even ask you to earn money to repay them or to chip in for family expenses, & you have to demand them to do things for you? Some kids really just treat their parents like maids, and take them for granted.

What I've been through this summer holiday, taught me a lot. But the most important takeaway point is that, life is really fragile & it could end anytime. This phrase could mean nothing to you until you come close to an encounter with death. With a person passed on, he literally cuts off all connections with you. You can't call him randomly anymore, can't text him or disturb him, there won't be any replies on his Facebook page, and all you can do, is just to think of him. You can't even tell him how you feel, or talk to him when you're sad. You don't even know if he can hear you or see what you're doing from where he is. You wonder what he's been up to, where is he, if he's happy, or free from sufferings. You can't help but worry if he's lonely, or enjoying himself and just being carefree and happy. All that's left of, is memories and pictures of him. What he said to you may fade away with time, you might forget how he sounded like and need to rely on videos and pictures from time to time. You start to wonder how he'll look like if he could have gotten married, how many kids he'd have, how he'd look like when he's old and wrinkled when he's 65 years old. If he's still the chirpy guy you knew since you're 13, or became a super naggy and irritating old man who needs someone to give him to him all the time.

No one will understand the impact of death just by reading a blog, or Facebook statues. You need to experience it to know what I'm talking about. Only then will you come to a realization that life is indeed short and unpredictable; you'll never know when you'll be the next one to leave. & you start to understand the true meaning of living life to the fullest. You'll start to love everyone you've got with you, cherish them, want to see them everyday, making sure they're safe. Asking them to be healthy is then the most important thing, next being them feeling happy all the time. Nothing more, & nothing less. Wealth is something very material, and is not important anymore. This is when you really treasure the people around you.

True enough, there's always people who are making use of you. Or failed friendships all over the place. People come and go throughout your lifetime for a purpose, they teach you things and make you learn your lessons. That's why we're all here for, to learn. What you can take away with you when you go to the other side of the world is not money, not the clothes or status that you have, not the people you love or want to be, but the memories and lessons learnt in life. If you feel like doing something, go ahead. Because otherwise, what are you waiting for? The world will not stop revolving if you don't do or do what you want. Ultimately, it is only you regretting or thanking yourself for the choice you've made.

I sometimes feel that, people complain too much. They complain when they have too much to study, or too little time to study. They complain when they're hungry, or when they're too full, or when they're too tired. Or when they're bored, they push the blame to their country being too small. Then they complain about work, about their bosses, their friends, their wives or husbands, their in-laws and so on. Then they complain about the government, and their neighbors, what they're doing and what they should do. We complain so much that we've forgotten the goodness in what people have done, or what they could have done to make the world a less noisy place. If you have too little time to study, that's your own time management problem. If you're hungry, grab a bite; if you're too full, it's time to control your diet or appetite. If you're bored, you need to do something about your creativity or start hanging out with new people. If you don't like your work or bosses, just quit; if not, just suck it up and try to make your workplace a better one. You could have done so much other stuff other than just sticking around, & complain. I do complain once in a while, but after that, I get over it. Things won't solve by itself if I just don't stop complaining. Even if I do pray to God for something pleasant, I can't just wait for Him to do everything for me. There must be something that I could do to make my own life and world a more pleasant place to stay in and live with, isn't it?

I've been drifting here and there throughout this whole blog post. But my bottomline is, ask yourself what's your takeaway this holiday. Have you learnt something, or do you have something that you've always wanted to do? It's year 2012, the world might be ending, it might be not. But I choose to see it as it'll end. Because then I would muster more courage to do what I want, say what I've been meaning to, & treat the people I love with more care, concern & grace.

I'm loving my life now, & I hope you'd do too. Happy 2012, albeit being a bit late.

Boxing Day + Collection 63!

I am so caught up with my summer semester guyz! Oh my God, nobody has ever told me that the summer semester is SO hectic! I've learnt like 6 chapters worth of Finance (things that they usually learn in 3 whopping weeks) in just one week i.e. 2 days of lectures. I feel like my brain is squashed dry to the max. & not forgetting that I'm actually taking TWO subjects now. Am totally digging my own grave.

There's SO MUCH to read! Have read like 88 pages of the marketing textbook for branding, for just one week's worth of lesson! & that's excluding the almost 20 pages worth of case for the tutorial alone.

I have like 3 hours worth of Finance tutes every Friday. FINANCE ON FRIDAY. :(

But to think of it, I'm so thankful that my cuzzie still has her online lectures in her portal that I could download. So that I could stream them over the weekends and be a little ahead of the lecturer. & I needn't cram all info and do 3 tutorial work by the next day.

Sorry for ranting, but I'm dying under this heavy workload ahhhhhh! Really hope I could head back to SG for 3 weeks by mid feb (please don't ask me how I manage to squeeze out 3 weeks haha). Launching these collections actually helped to take my mind off the crazy equations and theories.

Oh by the way, we had lunch at Watami at ION, and they have very awesome set meals for 2 & 4 pax if I didn't remember wrongly! & priced pretty decently. I think we all paid about $30-ish and got a drink each (like soft drinks etcs.)

With nothing to do, I suggested calling up Playnation to see if they have any available "rooms" for us to play the Wii and Kinect. Turns out some group bailed out on them, so we proceeded over to Scape!

We paid about $15 per pax, comes with refillable drinks and you get to play both the Wii and kinect at the same time! For like.. 4-5 hours? Time just zoomed past man hahaha it was great fun!

Comes with free inner tube! Took me a while to get the "right" lace pattern for the shirt, and I love how it turns out! The top is made of chiffon, and knowing that it's transparent, we decided to throw in a free inner tube!

We've received lots of "likes" on Facebook once we uploaded the picture, and I'm glad you girls love how it turned out! Absolutely loving the scalloped collar and trims down the blouse, and we made it with sleeves after receiving feedbacks from girls that not everyone likes sleeveless tops.

We love this pleated chiffon skirt as well!! Especially the peterpan details at the top - a twist from the usual colorblock skirts that you see around, adding on a little bit of cuteness to it! Am back in Melbourne and haven't gotten the time to do up this blog post 'cos I was down with something like food poisoning or stomach flu (??), I don't know. I just kept throwing up, having diarrehea, fever, and feel breathless at times.

Am feeling better now thus this blog post!

Will be launching a new collection tomorrow, 7PM and here're some previews!

Took the shoots at One Rochester, and we were supposed to be headed to the new Starbucks outlet over there. But was unfortunately being chased out of. Long story so I could only launch these few designs.

Rainbow Polka Dotted Shirt that many has been asking about! We have it in only one color though, but it's pretty!

Paired with scallop front skirt in Rose, and this skirt comes with a belt and is elastic at back!

HAPPY BOXING DAY EVERYONE!

Hope all of you had an awesome Christmas day, because I did! Have been celebrating since the 23rd, and tomorrow will be last day I'll be celebrating Xmas, wheeehooo! Almost all of the gifts I've gotten this year are something to do with Hello Kitty, heehee I'm a happy girl! :D

So last week, me, my sister & cousin headed to MBS to try out Todai, the international buffet! Please remember to call and make a booking if you planned to go there and have a meal!

As for Todai, I feel that they have one of the best deserts around, but spread of food is only just so-so. Price is affordable though, but I can't really remember the exact price so do call them up or google for their website or something!

Where are you? What are you doing? Can you see from where you are, how we're coping, what we're feeling and doing everyday? I'm sure you're in a better place, away from sorrows, away from pain. Like you said, it should be a paradise, some place that you'll be in love with.

I miss you. How could I not, when I passed by places we've frequent for the past few weeks that I'm back? How could I not, when I will always think of you whenever I head out or go back home because you live just right across the street? Your huge grin will always be stuck in my head, just like how you did when you said your last goodbye to me that very night.

Should've gone up to give you a hug, before we bade goodbye. There're so many "should-haves" and "could-haves" going on through my mind, and I still cannot come to accept the this cruel fact. You taught me to cherish the people in my life, and I hope I won't disappoint you. You taught me to look at the positive side no matter what happened, you brought me out of the hell-hole I was in in July. You showed me what a big heart could do to touch people, & I hope I could carry on this legacy of yours. You showed me how being playful at times brighten up someone's life, and how serious you could be at times that I could trust you with my small little secrets.

Almost 10 years since I knew you, and not one time we meet you didn't make fun of me. I miss having you tease me; I've been so used to it. I like how you always have something funny going on in your mind, and random ideas just start to sprout out. I like it when you pester me to drive you around and send you to school or places, and how you'd grin and say thank you before leaving the car.

I miss you, & I'm keeping you here, safe close to my heart. You won't be forgotten, I promise. I won't join you too soon my friends, I've got to finish up the things I want to do, and go to places we wanted to go. I remember your dreams, and I remember telling you mine. I will go all out to fulfill them, and I bet you'll be looking down and smiling from where you're from.

Xmas Collection III!

2nd blog entry of the week, I'm a hardworking girl! Teehee, also because we'll be launching a new collection tomorrow, so I'll be posting up preview photos along with this entry!

So on Tuesday, I met my girls for some cycling at ECP! It's been long since we did something other than EATING or CLUBBING, so this is like a new activity for us. Wore the Side Ruffles Racerback in GREY to ECP, it's so comfy and won't stick to your body if you perspire. Pair it with shorts for a casual, more laid-back look or with pants/bandage skirt for a totally different look! :) We still have it in navy, forest & beige too!

Okay, truth be told, we stopped so many times just to take photos haha! It was only $6 for the rental of the bicycle for 3 hours, and after cycling for a while we were all so tired but it's only been 15 minutes.. -.-

It's been SO LONG since all of us took the bus together, so enthu taking pictures in the bus haha! Thankful that there weren't a lot of people on the bus.

The three of us headed down to Haji because Mel hasn't been there before, & Keli wants to head to Central to get some stuff. Settled down at PLUCK, so glad they were still opened at 7PM and still having ice creams! Max love their lychee martini, earl grey, salted caramel & vanilla bean ice cream!!

& then back to Bugis where K joined us, and we tabao-ed so much food from I <3 Taimei. You've gotta try their fried mushrooms and fries (Garlic seafood is the bomb!!!!), they're soooo tasty I've been eating them for 3 days straight!

Oh & before I begin, I've been really blur like a sotong these days. I didn't realise that the studio has moved to CQ, and I happily lugged all the stuff to the Joo Chiat studio.. Guess what, I came to a dark staircase and vacant place once I reached. & it's been 2 months since they've moved!! How blur can I be lor.. & we were about 45 mins late because of that! So thankful my girls stayed till so late for the shoot <3 <3

I love ALL the colors, they're perfect for Xmas and new year parties aren't they? Simple and yet dressy enough, just match it with a statement necklace and shoes, and you'll be good to go!

As you can see, back of the dress is the same color as the upper part of the colorblock for the front! & because it's a bodycon dress we'd advice girls to wear thongs or seamless undies for these! Will fit up till a UK8 only because the mesh is not really stretchable :(

If you love the Dark Olive for the Swirl 'n' Twirl skirt, it's in the same shade! Shuhua kept the beige, Chante kept the black & I kept the Beige, Black, Navy and still deciding whether to keep the Dark Olive! It's so comfy and there's a surprise peekaboo at the back!

See! Not too revealing, and best part is I gave special instructions to manufacture it so that you girls can wear a normal bra for this, no hassle at all!

I love the material for this! First time we're using this material (jersey cotton) & it's so so comfortable! & it's non-sheer so it's so apt for school! Especially when it starts to rain or when lecture halls and tutorial rooms are very cold.

Met my dear girls just the other day for brunch. We've been talking about it for quite a while and procrastinating for a bit, and this day is finally here! Was very busy over the weekends and all.. so I was quite surprised when everyone managed to wake up early and turn up for brunch at 1030am haha!

Chose Food for Thought at SAM's museum, it's at 8 Queens Street, very near the SMU admin building and NTUC Trade Union House building. There's quite a few SAMS museum so make sure you get the right one, or just use GPS if you're driving or have an iPhone.

My verdict? Only the pancakes are nice, but can get a little bit jelat if you're having it alone. All our eyes were O.O when we took a first bite. Make sure you share if you're having it! As for the rest of the other items.. Let's just say I've had better breakfast elsewhere. But the company made up for it!

Shopped around F21 when I met the girls again after I attended some private matters. They never fail to cheer me up and brighten up my gloomy days. I don't usually accept people who wants to follow me on twitter unless I know them personally because I won't want your timeline to be flooded with emotional tweets, so there. :)

Here's Melly & I in my room! She wants to change out of her outfit so she ransacked my blogshop's clothes to find something that fits her haha! She's wearing the Swirl 'n' Twirl Skirt in Beige, & I was wearing the black one in one of the pictures above too. It's so so comfy, and is lined, so it is definitely non-sheer! There're belt loops and comes with a side zip to give you a better fit. Mel's a UK6/8 and I'm a 8/10 and it fits us both well so there!

Headed to Wine bar thereafters. Opened a bottle & I have to recommend 42 Below - Kiwi to you girls. It's vodka, but tastes super nice when mixed with coke, like grape juice? I super love it when my best friend offered it to me for the first time. They have sour plum and apple too, so you could give it a try!

LOVE BOTH COLORS!! Actually all the colors for this skirt!! It took me a super long time to decide on these colors because there's very limited colors for this fabric, and I insist on making it a two-tone skirt so that it'll be more unique. Anyway, despite it being two-toned, this skirt is really very easy to match with! I was just matching them few hours before the shoot, and look! Jing & Zoe looked good in them innit?

Something exciting to share here, before I blog about the outdoor shoot we did just this week for the upcoming collection!

I recently visited Candilicious Nails, a home-based nail parlor to do up my nails for Christmas and New Year, & I'm loving them loads! & yes, SIX&TWELVE is partnering with Candilicious Nails to for a free giveaway for the month of December (read on to find out more).

Here's some pictures of the process.

I didn't know what to do for my nails because I usually just paint them with colors I like (like pink, red, midnight blue, yes I know super boring, I don't even do French tips!), so I left it to Shanice to come up with a design for me! I think if you have some ideas in mind, you could communicate it with her, like show her a picture or something? I'm sure she'll be able to do it for you!

Adding on the blings! I was surprised when I saw that she's putting more and more stuffs onto my nails, haha! But I love them! Especially the flowers on my nails, that are made of acrylic powder.

Drying them under LED light. The good thing about Gelish nails is that it takes only like 30 seconds to dry, and it won't chip and will last for dem dem long! Shanice chose a light pink base for me so that when my nails grow out, they won't be so obvious. So thoughtful right!

One good thing I love about visiting a home-based nails parlor is that the manicurist gives you her full attention. & there's no other person around to rush her so it's really relaxing. What's more, Shanice is really nice and sociable, I actually spent about 2 hours at her place without feeling like I spent such a long time there.

Zoe & I were brainstorming on places to go for outdoor shoots, because we haven't had one despite shooting together for so so long (almost 1 year odd I think!!). & since USS is sheltered at some places (which is super important since the weather's been really crazy for the past few weeks), and I could get free tickets, we decided to head there with Jing & Shine!

In the cover is the Contrast Trimmings Chiffon Blouse, that comes in Emerald Green, Red, Cream and Purple! Emerald Green is darker IRL, will post a closer pic of the color during the launch! New color on our color palette :)

Last but not least, my favourite among the lot is this Side Ruffles Racerback Top, comes in beige, forest, navy and grey. The material is super comfy (same one as the scallops dress, skater dress and raglan tops), and there's even a tie-front ribbon at the front! So dainty and sweet looking, and have you spotted another new color here?

You might be wondering where was I the whole time, haha! I was the nanny that day, passing them accessories, adjusting their clothes for them, throwing shoes to them, picking out the outfits for them to change into, refilling water and making sure they are all hydrated.

We rented the double stroller from USS and it was one of the best decisions made! We just had to dump everything onto it and push it to where ever we wanted to go. FYI, that bagpack I'm carrying is loaded with JUST accessories, HAHA!

& because they kept laughing at me pushing the stroller like some aunty, this Zoe wanted WH to shoot me with the trolley. & I dragged her into the photo when she's chewing on food, which explains why she's covering her mouth hahaha silly girl!

Ahhh it's been SO LONG since I've blogged! Guilty as charged..

I've just returned to SGP and there's tons of things for me to do!

Been back since Monday and my days are nothing but packed. Met up with most of my friends alrdy, IKR, so efficient of me. But days were mainly spent in Zouk. My photos are made up of either just FOOD or in CLUBS. sigh, need to kick this bad habit of ours!

Had brunch at Arbite with Zx on Friday, and I love the one I had! Along with some skinny latte, yummers! Love the eggs, the mushroom and the bread (surprisingly, cos I usually skip the breads)! It's at serangoon gardens, on top, next to sushi tei!

Drove over to pick my dear Eileen up, who's in SG for some holiday! Wheeee, brought her around bugis to walk around, and we snacked so much! Hope you had a fun time here babe!

Then it was zouk at night! Some last min decision because we were saying we're not gonna club 'cos the music was really bad on Wed and it was getting boring. But.. somehow we ended up at Zouk at 9odd to get our chops and then to the bridge for some drinking.

I was so busy that night! 'cos I had different groups of friends there. & my phone had to be low on batt. But guess what! Zouk has this station just outside the entrance, used to be the hotdog stand, that allows us to charge our phones. AWESOME man! So I was there like half the time trying to charge my stupid phone, haha!

Okay this was Wed, when I went Zouk with my two girls, and met some others there. Though the music was really bad, and the crowd made up of really really desperate boys (whom I think are at least 2 years younger than me), I've got really awesome company.

We'll be launching a new collection tomorrow too! Just gotten the shipment and met Zoe dear this morning to shoot a few pieces. We'll be having an outdoor shoot soon, so excited! :D

This collection is mainly made up of restocks of older popular designs in some old colors, + one or two new colors for each design! AND two new designs that's good for work/bridesmaids/dates/year end party! Wheeeee! Don't we all love versatile pieces?

Finally done with the first paper of my second semester! Questions not exactly what we expected them to turn out to be, but ohwells, it's over and we could only continue mugging for our remaining papers! One more marketing paper and finance paper to prepare for and I'm done!

My elder sis's gonna come visit me next Wed after my second (as well as second last) paper, and I'm so so so so excited for next weekends 'cos I've prepared activities lined up for her! :D heehee, can't wait to share pictures with you guys already!

So for the past week, I've been cooped up at home memorizing notes and whatnot. Did head out to the city for half to an hour to roam around, grab some necessities etc, and to take a breather. Hate how the weather is so fab now, but we're all cooped up at home. Sigh!

Pictures of the past few weeks that was in my phone and only gotten round to uploaded them since I just synced it to my laptop!

I've been hooked onto Kimchi Jiggae ever since my dearest Bi Ran introduced them to me the last time she headed down to Melbourne. So I googled for the recipe and made it myself!! SO SO PROUD of myself! You know how one bowl is like AUD15 out there? & it's so so easy to make! Plus the ingredients are SO NOT EXPENSIVE! I could eat this everyday and it takes like.. 15-25 mins for preparations + cooking it? WHEEEE my favourite favourite dish so far, but really cannot eat it during summers, so I'll drown in my perspiration.

Belgium waffles that my cuzzie ta-baoed for me when she was in the area. Missing it already, it's so crunchy and chewy at the same time! Yum tums!

Salad for lunch. HAHA, home-made. I know you can't see the greens, but it's really salad! I boiled the prawns, chicken tenderloins (they're like chicken breasts but less dry and has no fats, unlike the thigh meat or drumstick area), mushrooms and microwaved the bacon bits. And tadah~ so easy peasy! And it's really really filling! :D

Another round of kimchi jiggae, home made muahahahha! I'm so so so so addicted to this!

Believe it or not, this is MY dinner. And yes I almost finished all of them, save for the cupcakes. What's left of dinner was prolly 2 small slices of pizza and 3 cupcakes. Don;t know why I ordered so much, and yes that's a bubbletea at the corner of the picture. And I slurped it all up. Must be because it's the time of the month, haha!

There was a new Killiney Kopitiam that just opened near my house and we went to give it a try. Verdict: not fantastic, and I could do better (I think?) since all they use were the pre-mixed sauces and gravies. Kaya was not too bad tho, but YAKUN is still the bez!

Second round of my dinner the next day. That thing on the right was my own chapalang soup, with chicken, cabbage, dried scallops, prawns, mushrooms, an egg and rice vermicelli. No salt, no pepper, nothing! Healthy eh, but the pizza next to it erm... just took up all my calories intake HAHA!

Hihi! I've been caught up with studying lately 'cos it's now the study week (which we termed SWOT VAC) and next week's the start of the exam period! Can't wait for my first paper because that'll mean I'm so much closer to home! And Sis just texted me yesterday that she's planning to make a trip down to Aussie to visit me! YAY!!! I'm so going to drag her to go skydive with me, YIPEEEDOOOO!

OH! We're launching a new collection today! No time to blog about it yesterday, so here goes. Just a small short preview!

I kept the one in Forest Green, and White! Here's a pic of me in the forest green:

Super duper love the back! Cos it gives this flowy feel~ You know what I mean? Yeap and luving the shell buttons at the front! Oh and because the back is made such that there's a tic tac button, where you can clasp them together to get the pattern at the back, you can clasp it anyway you want! Just experiment with it yourself! Like you could twist the cloth a bit before clasping them, or just clasp them like how we did! This top easily goes into the Top 10 favourites from what we manufactured! :D

We have one more ruffle top design, it's so cooling that you really have to get it if you hate the humid weather in SG! Our models didn't wear any spag tops inside for layering because the ruffles at front could sort of "cover" your bra, just that you've gotta wear nude colored ones if you're getting the lighter colored one. Black bras will be fine for the leopard printed top (favourite!!).

SIX&TWELVE aside, it's my best brother's birthday yesterday! Am quite upset that I couldn't celebrate it with him. I've missed so many birthdays celebrations while I'm here studying.. But to make up for it, I ordered cupcakes for him and got the maker to send them to his house to surprise him!!

Because we've been project groupmates (& best friends) since year 1 in poly, we did tons of shitty projects together! Thus the books, and the FYP report (which we gotten an A for heehee) topper on the cupcakes!

That "boy" was modeled after one of the picture we took during our poly days. & the beef lagsana? Because we always OVER ORDER when eating in one of our canteens in school, and this dish is a MUST ORDER when it's available. HAHA!

Smurfs because we just watched the smurf movie together, and we cannot stop singing the la la la song even when we're in zouk! Teehee fun times, and of course, a picture of Dan, Andy and me! :D

Yup these cupcakes are from the same girl who made the ones for Zoe! She's so brilliant ain't she? Oh & Dan said that the cupcakes were super duper yummy, I ordered them in lychee and in lychee buttercream. :D

A filler post!

The weather has been really really crazy over here in Melbourne. It was all sunny and hot, just like in Singapore (I even had to switch on the air-con!), early this week, then it started to rain like crazy from Thursday onwards. I never fail to fall sick when I was drenched in the rain, and no prizes for guessing who had a fever for two days and had is still suffering from a blocked & runny nose (yes this can happen okay!), sore throat, bad cough and a drowsy spinning head.

Ahhhhh~ and the doctors here don't usually give you medicines? They believe in self-healing, sort of. & if they do give you prescriptions, it'll be panadols. So I didn't even bother wasting my time going down to see one, we even had to make an appointment if we want to see him okay.

But happy thing is, I'm finally left with one last assignment for the semester! But it constitutes 50% of my grades, so I'd better do it well. The subject's on Classic Chinese Civilization, and people always laugh at me when they know that I'm doing this. But hey, it's really interesting to know all these Confucius, Mencius theories, as well as why the statues of women were being undermined in ancient China. Thinking of doing more Asian Studies subjects, but that'll have to wait till I get my grade for this.. haha!

& I'm going for Dim Sum with my girls later! Sooooo excited for it, I can't wait to lay my hands (and sink my teeth into) Liu Sha Bao(s) WOOHOOOO! I will definitely take loads of pictures to beautify my blog with, teehee!

Oh &, we won't be launching any new collections this week. Because 1) I'm busy with assignments and catching up with my schoolwork to prepare for exams and 2) well I went overboard with launching the collections and didn't have enough pieces to launch every week till I get back to SG. Guilty as charged. But I've just submitted about 20 designs to my supplier for manufacturing, and there's still a few more that I haven't drafted out 'cos it's still stuck in my head, like you know bits and pieces of it..

Hello hello! Just received the banner for the next collection via dropbox and I love it! Especially the cursive font for SIX&TWELVE~! Metta is a genius, and she's so so efficient, totally love working with her!

So we'll be launching the next collection on Wednesday, 12PM with 3 manufactured designs!

Took me a long time to get this design right because of the flap in front. Super love the material 'cos it's soooo soft to the touch and Shuhua kept the one in buttercream for her upcoming internship! My sis wanted the black and dear mummy wanted the duke blue as well! Zoe also complimented the blazer teehee~

It's super versatile given that you could wear it to work/internship/presentations, or just wear it over your usual spag top + shorts. Best thing is that it's not thick such that you'll perspire when wearing it outside, given SG's super hot weather!

Another casual top for those who're still schooling! It's a slouchy boxy top that's super comfy, and comes in pink, navy, burnt orange and peach. Okay I know the peach & burnt orange looked similar, & to cut a long story short, it's due to the factory getting the wrong color for us and all the yada but we've decided to just keep it 'cos it looks really nice IRL. The lighter peach goes well with denim shorts (especially faded ones) and the darker orange goes well with black jeans and whatnots! :)

Last but not least, my favourite of all has got to be this dress! Not only does it come with contrasting piping (it's lined too so it won't be sheer), I'm totally digging the cross back design! Super excited when I saw the sample because I thought it'll make the design look too complicated, but it didn't! So here's a picture of the back:

Foodie post!

Since I'm back in Melbourne, I've been feasting on good food every other day! There's this new Taiwanese cafe that's just opened in the city, and everyday I walk past it, it's packed to the brim! So we decided to go try it out, and all I can say is that, it definitely makes me wanna fly to Taiwan at that very moment. Such good fooooood~

& we headed to North Melbourne last weekend to have breakfast! I actually managed to climb out of bed at 8AM to prepare and tram down with my two girls. This place is really special 'cos it's situated right at the tram station. Get out of the tram, and you'll see this!

And the place overlooks a horse range or something? Reminds me of Rider's Cafe back in SG.

Surprisingly nice hamster food~

& Dim Sum yesterday 'cos I was craving for my liu sha bao after looking through my HK photos for the xth time.

Headed off for a project meeting after dim sum and the first thing my friend had to ask me was "Tonight want go club?"

So there goes my plan of not clubbing in Melbourne~

But it was so fun last night!!!!!11!!!! Awesome music, great company who'll go crazy with you. What else can I ask for?

It'll be the BEST if my bros & sis back in SG could join me in clubbing here in Melb. It's so so so much different and I'm sure they'll love it loads!

Mum whatsapped me this morning to ask if we wanna go on a holiday. AM SO SO EXCITED FOR IT!!! I hope we can go!!!! Not gonna say where first in case I jinx it HAHA!

Okay time for me to get started on my 1 out of 4 more assignments.

I just have to blog about this!! Gotten a girl to do up the banner for the new collection, and I'm super in love with it! But first, gotta thank you girls for all the e-mails that you've sent to us to apply for the "position", am truly appreciative of it!

So, for a very long time, I haven't been blogging about our collections. Guilty as charged.

See! It's really so pretty right!? I can't help staring at it every now and then 'cos I really love it, haha! I hope you girls do too!

By the way, Shuhua is back with us on the team! We had a super fun time in the studio the other day, and am looking forward to more shoots with these girls!

Okay that aside, new collection will be up tomorrow, 12PM (SGP time)! Super excited to launch this collection 'cos my favourite skirt's in it!

Embroidery Top with tassle rope front in mustard & black, comes in super limited quantities 'cos it's imported. But it's so pretty right! Have got friends asking me to keep some pieces for them but had to reject them 'cos there's not enough to go around... :(

And we've got the skirt in 5 awesome colors! Fav being the burnt orange, mustard, khaki. Black is a staple that goes with anything and blue is so school-girlish! & that's our Pussybow Mesh Top in white & navy, awesome for presentations or when paired with shorts. Looks great with jeans too!!

2 other colors for the Pussybow Mesh Top, and a new color for our Asymmetrical Ruffle Side Top in Purple. I love this color the most!!! Other than the cream~ Stocked in more quantities for this design than usual, that's why you see it still available on the site.

& we've brought in the MNG inspired jeggings in blue & black again. Super awesome comfy jeggings! If you owned the acid-washed ones, you're gonna love this even more!

I just came home from an impromptu trip to the city to get bubble tea from CHATIME and some grocery shopping. & we came home with 3 tubs of ice creams, whooopeeedoooo! Anyway, I've been drafting out this post for a really long time inside me, but haven't really got the time to write about it and post it up. So, here goes..

I've been single for the past half a year or so, and I haven't really spoken about how I felt about it. Initially I was handling it well, then it suddenly struck me that there's nobody to fuss over me, be concerned about me now and then, to randomly text to knowing that there'll be a reply within the next 10 mins, to skype over with, to rant and complain to whenever I want to and knowing that he won't find me irritating and so on and on. Sometimes I feel lonely at night, sometimes I feel sad when I know that a hug isn't within reach. Then slowly, I realize that all these aren't needs. They are just things that I've grown accustomed to during the relationship.

I'm someone who needs a lot of space, and loves being alone. I LOVE shopping alone, eating alone, studying alone and walking aimlessly around town alone. I get to do things at my own pace, not care about whether the person I'm with is bored or something, all I need to make sure is that I'm happy. & then I slowly find this old me back. I really love being single, and being so carefree. I could go dating with anyone I want, and if I don't like him, we could just be friends. Relationships aren't really THE most important thing in our lives, although it occupy a huge one in some. I just feel that we should sometimes give more time to our family, and even friends around us.

I have friends who feel very alone because they feel unwanted. If you're feeling this way, I'm telling you, don't. If you don't love yourself first, who's gonna love you? & I also know of people who always dresses up to impress people, especially people of the opposite sex. Isn't it tiring? & should someone really fall for you for your appearance, won't the relationship be a tad too superficial? & you'll find yourself always wanting to keep up with this physical appearance thing, trying to look good every time you guys go out, always checking out the mirrors etc. I won't want to be in a relationship like that. I want to be comfortable, be my true self. I want to be able to burp out loud, or even fart in-front of the guy I really like and laugh over it, eat whatever I like even if it stinks like smelly toufu, and laugh out loud at something really funny in the movies. Wouldn't you want something like that too?

What I'm trying to say is that, sometimes we're all trying too hard, we lose ourselves. I've always felt that people fall in and out of relationships just because we haven't really found the right person, and God has His way to teach us how to love. We fall in love, and out of it to learn, and through learning, we become better lovers in our next relationships. You don't need to be in a relationship to look cool or accepted in your clique; you'll never know who else is jealous of your singlehood and would kill to be in your shoes.

And lastly, love will come knocking on your door when you least expect it. So, just be yourself and it'll come looking for you. :)

Spring Break in SG & HK!

I am such a lazy blogger~

So, my 3 week spring break in SG has officially came to an end (in fact, I'm back in Melbourne for a week already) and it's the crazy period where I have to rush out my assignments. Done with 2, and I still have 4 more to go, on top of one informal presentation. Ahhhhh~ Just gotten my exam timetable too, and it's not too shabby. Will be back in SG in no time too!!1!!!!1 CANT'T WAIT.

It's a saturday night and I'm at home, just done with 2 webcasts of my lectures, and gonna start on my assignment in a bit. Sigh~ Missing the "holy trinity" I had in SG with my havoc girls @laoniang and @qklkerrie hahahaha!

Arrived in SG on a Thursday and met Dan on a Sat! Drove over to visit my dearest girl from town. She looked like she's aged a little, but still running around like a lively hyperactive girl!

& I didn't tell anyone about me reaching SG because I had a mission on hand! That's to surprise my birthday girl @laoniang ahhahah and it was a success! I just popped out from nowhere and hugged her from behind, and she was literally screaming in the restaurant. -.-

But we all had a great time, don't we?! :D :D :D

Then it was my HK trip with my bro and cousin. Yes that's my little brother, not some new boyfriend yea. haha!

OH and we were super in love with the agnes b cafe and all-in-one store at IFC mall. You could find all the sub-brands of agnes b inside: agnes b femme, voyage, homme, sports b and whatnot. They even have the kids line there!

Second round of clubbing on LADIES' NIGHT! We hopped over to butter from zouk and back to zouk again. What a fun night!!! & Dan brought Cla along, what a pleasant surprise!!!!

& guess what, saw more familiar faces at wine bar, and it turned out to be a small RMT gathering there, haha!! UBER HAPPY MAX! :D

Didn't have pictures from my third clubbing night, but it was all fun and good~ Am missing that rainy night already.

I can't wait to go back home again!!! This time for a good one and a half months.

Taking a break from my research, so I thought I ought to blog a little! Yes am back in SG but am slogging my hearts out, both from work (SIX&TWELVE) and studies. & am meeting different groups of people everyday, but I'm not complaining!

Just today, met my girls at NUS for lunch. It's funny how we treat The Deck as our hawker center for gathering and even took pictures there, haha! Always feeling so comfortable with them. And yesterday, I met up with my boys for dinner and knowing that I want to watch Smurfs, they decided to watch it with me! & the movie was smurfing good!!! Didn't expect it to be that awesome!

My schedule is packed like crazy.. I could meet up to 4 different groups of people in one day. Imagine the amount of calories I am stuffing myself with, because whenever people meet up, we eat, right? HAHA! On Saturday, Justina & I, just the two of us, headed to Zouk and it was ultimate fun! It'll be Round Two tomorrow.

Time really flies and I've gotta be back in Melbourne on Sunday. Big Big Sigh... But it won't be long till I return! :D

Will post pictures soon, gotta get back to my research.. Mountains of work waiting for me! :(

I just returned from HONGKONG & thus the short disappearance. :P

Anyway, we have just launched a collection which I call the Restocks collection, haha! These are all old designs that are either in new colors, or in old colors that I've restocked due to popular demand. Especially the two-tone chiffon dress in cream/beige! It's like OOS now and I'm trying to see if I still can bring it in...

My Birthday Trip!

Holidays are finally here! Friday Friday! My holiday officially started on Tuesday after I've received my grades for both of my marketing assignment, and let's just say that I was happy beyond words and have never ever gotten such a high grade for my assignments, not even in poly back in SG! I was practically beaming throughout the tutorial(s)! One of them was for a subject taught by this tutor whom I was SO AFRAID of because he always calls my name as least twice during the one hour tute and he asks scary questions like "Comment, question, points, Esther?" and the whole class will turn to look at me. The horror... But am glad I'm through with 8 weeks of lessons! The remaining 4 weeks of school really is a killer with one informal presentation, 2 more remaining tute work to be submitted and lo and behold, 5 more essays to be handed in. Bahhhh but the good thing is that I'll only have like.. 3 papers to sit for? I'd rather do more essays than study for one more paper.

Okay I just bored you with all my schoolwork thingos.

& since I have a little time to play around with, I thought I'll just blog about my birthday trip to the suburbs! I know it's a month backdated, but better late than never right! :D

So the girls + Roy surprised me in the morning! They snuck into my house (with the help of my short cousin) when I was in the toilet (I swear I'd already smelled a rat when I came out of the washroom), and look at my birthday (cup)cakes! So pretty!

We rented a car and dear Qiao took the wheel! First stop was the Supre outlet, muahahah! There wasn't much stuff this time round, and prices weren't exactly super cheap. But still, happily shopped inside for a good 2 hours!

& then we headed to Mornington! I found this Sunday Market by chance and so we decided to head over.

Weather was awesome that day, was so afraid it'd rain 'cos the weather forecast said that it would!

& we left for the strawberry farm! My favourite because I can get to eat my long awaited SCONES. YUMMERS! Second time I'm here and I still didn't manage to pick strawberries. MEH~

Just two weeks ago, my friend came over to Melbourne for a short holiday because she was having her summer holidays (that stretches up to 3 months) and she didn't even have a job or internship to work for. So I randomly suggested her coming over to Melbourne to have fun with both R and I, and she really did went ahead to book her air tickets!

We had a hard time planning 'cos she came during the weekdays and we were all so busy with our assignments and schoolwork, plus the fact that we had to go to school for lectures and tutorials, so it's a little hard to get a really good itinerary or to even bring her to the suburbs.

She was here for a good 5 days and we had lots of fun even tho all we did was to stay in the city and nowhere else. Had tons of good food though! I think I put on a good 3 KG over her one week stay haha!

B stayed at R's place, which was really just a stone's throw from mine haha! So the morning she arrived, I popped by his place to bring them for breakfast near our school!

& since the cafe's so near our school, we brought her for a little school tour. & she was amazed by how big/grand/pretty our school was, as compared to hers. She totally sounded like a "sua ku" person who lived in a hole for a couple of years HAHA!

Toured around the city, and brought her to Docklands for some outlet shopping! Didn't take much pictures cos well, our hands were pretty full. We got hungry really fast (think it's all the walking teehee) and so had an early dinner!

Awesome Korean food that had me craving for their Kimchi Jiggae up till now! And just a week before this, I had it for my birthday dinner!

Went over to R's place to meet them again because my first and only lesson only starts at 515PM. IKR! What a timing ~

I brought them to this Japanese place for their set lunch. Each set has like sashimi, chawanmushi, a main dish, rice, ice cream, tempura etc. SUPER good Japanese food, they have the BEST tempura I've even eaten (given that I don't like fried food thanks to the oily stench that they always come with).

Walked around the city and because the girl wants to pop by the Cathedral, we went in!

Then I headed over for my ONE HOUR tute, back home to change and to meet them for dinner. IKR, my lunch and high-tea was even digested then.

We had dinner at Docklands, at this steak place that R recommended because there was half price for steaks every Tuesday! AWESOME!

The kids insisted on paying for the meal to celebrate my belated birthday. HOW SWEET! :D

Then we headed to Roy's place (I forgot for what?) and guess what? The kids sprung a little surprise for me! :D Laurent's cake again! & they gave me a little hello kitty mirror and Versace moisturiser that I absolutely love!

It was lunch again the next day because I only had an one hour tute from 10-11AM. :P

This time round, we had it at this Korean-Japanese restaurant just below Roy's crib.

They gave REALLY HUGE servings! Roy ended up having to finish TWO because we girls could only manage half the serving.

Plans to the beach was cancelled because it was raining so heavily. Such a spoilsport. Was looking forward to the pastries that they were selling along the beach! :(

So she suggested going to the museum, which we gladly obliged.

OTW there, this is our exam hall! Pretty grand isn't it!

More exam hall~ Which reminds me, it's week 8 (coming) and exams are in week 13! The horror O.O

Went for this 3D film that I happily snoozed in. HAHA~

Then we came across this exhibition, not sure if it's taxidermies of animals but they looked so real!

Roy had a meeting to go to, so we headed back home to rest and wait for him. Otw back, we chanced upon double rainbows again!! This time round it's so obvious and pretty!

HAd dinner at Mercadante again, it's like my 3rd time going there in 2 weeks!

& our dinner the next day 'cause we both had long hours on Thursdays. So she roamed about the city herself and met us for dinner!

& deserts at Koko Black. Such a torture because my monthly thing decided to visit me and I can't have the iced chocolate! :<

Had this awful hazelnut chocolate but the hazelnut is too strong!

Have been bumming around at home after submitting 2 of my marketing assignments last week. Since I can't get any work done (just can't seem to get started on them), I shall just blog! Took me almost 2 hours to upload SO MANY photos up onto photobucket!

These were taken eons ago, during the first few weeks of this semester I think?

Had lunch with the girls at Ying Thai on a Friday when most of us didn't have school!

Then we headed over to the city to roam around, and had Tutti Frutti!

It works like Soghurt and Swirl Art back in Singapore, but I swear by this frozen yoghurt. They're so so good! I love my yoghurt with mochi toppings, choc chips and some cereals if I feel like it. :D

They have the standard flavors like strawberry, blueberry (YUMS!), taro (AWESOME STUFF!), chocolate (which I'm addicted to), original etc. Finally got to utilize my swirling skills (learnt it back when I'm working at this yoghurt shop that I've forgotten the name :X). Some of us had a big shock when placing our cups on the weighing scale. One of our cups even cost about $8++ AUD? HAHA I guess that's how they earn money yea?

& then we came across this cupcake shop! Which girl can ever resist cupcakes!!!

Hello!!

I have been so busy with so many stuff coming up that it's getting so hard to breathe! Sunday was my birthday and we had a day trip, thanks to my girls for planning it because I had so so so much fun! & the pictures are really pretty too! Will upload them once I find the time to.

My secondary school friend is also here for a holiday, and she's staying over at another friend's place. So I've been seeing Roy for the 4th day now, so disgusting! HAHA :P We ate like bulls every single day and I really dread stepping up on the weighing machine.. MEHH. & so, she's gonna leave tmr, (WILL MISS YOU BONNIE!) and I would have to get my ass down to studying and rushing through my TWO assignments which will be due on the 29th AND 30th.

And then it's countdown to home! Need to get back to settle some six&twelve stuff, as well as go for some check-ups.. :(

Two Sides.

The first week of school has been pretty slack. In fact, I haven't started doing any readings or tutorials (but I will right after this post). Have been meeting more new people, and starting to adapt to Melbourne all over again. It's always good to have more friends over here. Met a few new girls, and I'm loving the whole idea of going out in a big group of girls. :) I hardly do that while I was in SG because I only have a group of girlfriends (really, just literally one group) and 2 of us are overseas studying, and most of my other good friends are boys. So it's like a.. new experience for me haha!

Anyway, I've decided to blog because there was this small commotion over my model/friend, Zoe, going on in some blog. There are some things that I feel that I should share, because there are always good and bad experiences when you deal with someone. It's like how you can totally hate this girl in your class but she still has friends and you have no idea why they hang out with her. Or you're best chummies with this girl who is kind, caring, smart, rich etc. but there are still people who goes around spreading rumors about how arrogant she is and all. Disclaimer first, I am not referring to anyone in particular, just stating things in general. I can't control how others think or what they want to say, but if you don't like what I'm typing, you could really just not read.

What I want to say is, you've got to experience it yourself to know whether you can get along with others. You can't just please everyone, and you can't just be friends with everyone. There are bound to be people you'll dislike, or just be working partners, and full stop. If you know nothing about a person, then don't just base your perception of a person on rumors and only bad experiences. Even if you do, there is no need to spread these rumors that you don't even know is true or false to others. The cycle will just continue to go on, and what could you benefit from it?

Truth be told, I hired Zoe just like any other blogshops because I believed that she could boost the sales of my blogshop and it was time to have some changes. And yes, true enough, sales picked up, mailing list increased, and profits started rolling in. While her rates are high, I myself opted to pay her and take a risk in hiring her. That's the way things work when you're doing business, isn't it? If you're not happy with the quoted rate, by all means not hire her. It's a take it or leave it thing, simple enough for everyone to understand. If she quoted a sky-high rate, and people still continue to use her, they must have their own reasons to.

I've started hiring Zoe as my model since Sept last year and it's about 10 months of working with her. Initially I thought we'd just be woking partners because she's a well-known blogger and all. But time proved us wrong because we hit it off so well, and became good friends and we whatsapp each other every other day, even when I'm in Melbourne. We always have so much fun during shoots, I think we made a lot of noise in the studio. Just the last shoot, I got Chantelle to come over for a shoot with Zoe and I thought it'll be awkward and all, but it turned out well and we all had fun! Zoe's someone I could turn to when I need to rant, complain and all, she even gave me a big hug when she knew I was feeling really sad over relationship problems lor! She'll ask me how I'm doing from time to time, told me to study hard and all, just like how a good friend will.

I've heard many ugly stuff spreading around, but I think only we, the people who interacts with Zoe on a regular basis knows best what kind of a person is she. I myself know for sure that she's a friend I wouldn't want to lose and it's a blessing for me to know her, along with my other models, suppliers, manufacturers, because of S&T.

What I wanted to share is just my own experience with Zoe, providing people with just another view? There will bound to be ugly comments popping up from nowhere, but if it makes you happy, just post lor?
