Interview today was.. great. Surprising to hear that from me I know, but really, it is. Reminds me of the one I had with TJ's nice principal few years back. Friendly people makes up for the butterflies in my stomach; I don't even get them during presentations.

I bathed my dog today, after like.. 2 years I think? No my dog did not not bathe for two years, it has been the maid doing it. & I felt guilty, so I bathed her today. Tough. Work. Dumb dog, so much fur. I'm going to get her a personal groomer, soon. Time for her to enjoy life man.

Daniel was on a shopping spree today, haha. Felt so good just walking and talking to him (:

& we, or rather I, ate alot! 

Mee Sua + 2 Jumbo Hotdogs + 1 Chicken thingy + 1 Big Crispy Chicken + 1 NYDC cheesecake + 1 Bubble Tea. Ok la I shared the hotdogs, chickens thingy with him, but still.. it's alot! haha

Went to PS to visit Clar and Sam at work. Realised I'm so happy I'm not doing this kind of retail stuff. & then went to Suntec to get his topman shirt; thanks Ed for the help! (: Then to visit Weiying and Xue Er @ work. Just nice XE was leaving, and so we walked to the MRT station with her. I like talking to her! hahaha I think we can just go on and on and on if I hadn't had to stop at my stop. haha.

& I just realised.. I have alot of clothes!! Really really really need to clear already man. I'm still going to KL/Taiwan/Japan, I bet I'll come back with MORE MOAR clothes. oh man =/

Thursday!

FINALLY! Home early today. 

Finally get to take things slowly, and breathe in the goodness of life. haha, exaggerating much. Anyway, it's Thursday already! My God time flies when you're busy and caught up with work innit? Just when I said I miss Andy during the weekends, I met him for 2 days consecutively, I'm sick of him already haha.

heh, you know I'm joking love (:

BUT I can't stand how you keep teasing me! In front of eve somemore okay. I hate you lor, idiot. Don't make me blurt something out, hor! =p

1 month of holidays gone just like that. What have I been doing?

Clarke Quay, picnic @ Botanic Gardens, taking photos along Orchard Road, celebrating Jiayu's birthday, baking at home, clubbing @ Double-O, Singapore Biennale '08, working for 10 days. Okay, quite happening as compared to the last holidays.

& KL trip is awaiting me! We need to confirm things babe & dudes! So excited about it. & hopefully meeting my darlings (Sarah, Derek & Lixian) for a dinner/meet up to celebrate D & S's end of internship and L's start of internship. haha. & interview on Monday, wlao eh. Which reminds me, I have to scan my certs, urgh. 

Can't wait for the weekends to arrive, so that I can have a good rest and catch up with my own world. I miss Andrew! & his birthday is coming soon, SAT if I'm not wrong haha. 

I want to get FTT over and done with and hopefully by APRIL I can drive my JEEP. IF all goes well, I really want to get it. heh. Hot pink hot pink!

Singapore Biennale!

Yesterday was spent with Dan at the Singapore Biennale 08 at City Hall! A getaway from the urban town area and a place for us to slow down on our footsteps to breathe in the goodness of life. It'll be perfect if they have a small little cafe near the lobby, heh.

So anyway, tickets are cheap! 5$ for students, so if you have nothing to do during the holidays, just take a train down to city hall to view the exhibition!

Raw Canvas
It's the biggest work of Jane Lee to date. It uses a combination of paint and mixed media to enable Lee to continue to develop her work by using the space as an aesthetic ploy. Threads of paint cross over each other creating a weave ostensibly reflective of he artist's obsessive nature, as she follows the weft and the warp. One is able to see through the wall behind the painting just was one would see through a loosely constructed fabric. She furthers the impression of fabric with detail in the texture and the apparent iridescence that sometimes bounces off the canvas. By striving to create paintings that appear like draped cloth, a knotty loose weave, or a combination of both, Lee continues to blur the visual lines between fabric and paint.

Amazing.



The artist makes use of veneer, to create paintings of parks. You should be there to see the whole thing 'cos it can be viewed in different angles.

The whole row actually shows the consecutive movement of guitarists and all. The artist pays very significant details to how people move IMO.

Blackfied; Sand, stainless steel, paint
The 'plants' which are etched out of metal, come from botanical drawings and are painted black on one side, and a myriad of colors on the other side. All the plants are installed with the colored side facing one end of the installation and black facing the other. When a visitor encounters the installation from one end, they will see either a sea of colored or black plants.

This artist (Lee Yong Deok)'s work play with movement and illusion. We rock back and forth - his work becomes an anchor. His work moves with us, almost akin to following us - esp. when we move away.
You can see from the 3rd picture that part of the painting is actually indent and made hollow. You must be there to experience it yourself 'cos I can't capture them on camera! haha

Dropped by Topman to find Ed going for break. Eeeeeediot. Shopped around, talked with one of the staff (I forgot her name haha!) and then he appeared. Finally got to see him after SO LONG man, that ass. Always busy busy, & his phone is getting obsolete. =p

Dan tried on some clothes, eh, the yellow one very cute lor! hahahah. & I love love my leather jacket, but no size! ): 

Went to find Xue Er, chatted a bit and I had to go.
